Dr. Joseph Scarano

A board-certified pediatrician, Dr. Scarano has been caring for children in our community since 1989, and he brings a wealth of experience and a big heart to every visit.

Beyond the exam room, Dr. Scarano has held many leadership roles in local hospitals. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and a faculty member of the Florida State University College of Medicine, where he teaches future doctors and medical assistants, and also presents at national pediatric conferences. He’s especially passionate about child development, adolescent health, nutrition, and fitness.

When he’s not practicing medicine, Dr. Scarano enjoys traveling, playing jazz piano, and spending time with his family. Together, the Scaranos run a charity that provides meals for those in need. Families are often delighted to learn that, in addition to being a dedicated pediatrician, Dr. Scarano can also keep a tune at the piano!
