  • My two small children saw Dr. Orezzoli from day 1, and absolutely loved him, so naturally we followed his recommendation to stay at this location with Pediatrica/Dr. Torres. Frequently Asked Questions

Does Dr. Torres accept my insurance?

Yes — Pediatrica accepts most major insurance plans, including Medicaid, at all of our Florida locations. Please call the practice to confirm your specific plan before your visit.

How do I switch my child's PCP to Pediatrica?

Switching your child's clinician to Pediatrica is simple, with no paperwork hassle on your end. This is especially common with Medicaid plans, where a PCP is often auto-assigned rather than chosen — if that's your situation, or you're simply ready for a change, just call (386) 255-7531 and our team will help you make the switch, often the same day.

What should I bring to my child's first visit?

Bring a photo ID, insurance card, immunization records if available, and a list of current medications and allergies. It also helps to bring any relevant records from a previous clinician, as well as a list of questions for Dr. Torres.

What ages does Dr. Torres see?

Dr. Torres provides pediatric primary care for children from birth through age 18. Care includes well-child visits, sick visits, chronic condition management, and behavioral health support at every stage.

Can I get a same-day appointment with Dr. Torres?

Yes — same-day appointments are available for sick visits and urgent concerns. Call (386) 255-7531 to check availability. After the office closes, video telehealth is available during Pediatrica After-Hours hours, and phone on-call support is available when video telehealth is not.

Is Dr. Torres currently accepting new patients?

Yes. We invite you to call (386) 255-7531 to check current availability and schedule your child.
